Setting up the yeedi vac station is quite easy. This is the type of robot vacuum-mop hybrid that does both things at the same time instead of doing one after the other. It identifies the floor type to know how to clean it. For example, carpets cause this yeedi bot to increase suction automatically due to ultrasonic tech.

Furthermore, the station is self-emptying and can hold up to a month of dirt and debris. The bot can impressively pick up large debris, but it self-empties quite loudly, sometimes producing a plastic-y smell. Another downside is the dock is quite large, so you need plenty of room for it.

Smart navigation

The yeedi vac station utilizes smart mapping and navigation, so certain areas and paths are mapped and defined for the most optimal cleaning route. Long gone are the days of violently bumping around and missing spots!

The vac station utilizes SLAM, which is simultaneous localization and mapping. Essentially, it ups the caliber of mapping, but the map can be clunky to manage, and only one map can be saved.

On the bright side, this bot avoids obstacles quite well, and 9 mm thresholds can be crossed with ease, which seem taller than average.

Smart control

You can operate this innovation with an app in order to:

Choose a certain room for cleaning.
Schedule a cleaning.
Set up a no-go zone.

Otherwise, issue voice commands using Alexa or Assistant as this bad boy covers up to 2,000 square feet on a single charge.

As for modes, our favorite is standard mode in which the bot is rather quiet.

Hybrid power

Besides the 2.5 liter dust bag, the vac station’s mopping feature allows you three water-flow levels, but the mop is average at best. The small water tank does not help either. Otherwise, the vacuum feature will take care of pet hair, crumbs, and dirt on hard floors and carpets. We just wish there was more than one replacement bag for the vac station.
