Neato D8 Intelligent Robot Vacuum
This robot vacuum combines a big brush with a big 0.7 liter dustbin. The brush is of the spiral combo type that is up to 70% larger than average. The dustbin can collect a sizeable amount of dirt, dust, and dander. The high-performance E11 filter can capture up to 99% of allergens. It is impressive how much the dustbin can collect without needing replacement mid-cleaning. On a side note, the brush is easy to clean.
With this vacuum, you can vacuum hardwood, carpet, and tile. On a single charge, you can cover up to 750 square feet, which is ideal for small-to-medium sized homes. To replenish the battery, the D8 goes to the charging dock by itself and then resumes its mission that can last up to 100 minutes.
Smart navigation
The D8 uses LaserSmart navigation to make precise movements and even go under furniture if need be. It also packs LiDAR technology, much like self-driving cars, and that technology includes mapping. You do not have to move your furniture around for the D8 to operate smoothly. Also, there are drop sensors to avoid the D8 falling off heights, and those sensors actually work.
Admittedly, the D8 may get stuck during a mission or even have trouble going back to the charging dock, but this should not happen frequently enough to ruin your experience. In fact, most robot vacuums seem to experience similar hiccups.
A phenomenal shape
In case you have not noticed, the D8 sports an uncommon but effective D-shape that can clean square edges whenever needed. Long gone are the days of needing to supplement your robot vacuum with a manual old-school vacuum for those tough edges!
Different useful modes
In case an area is too tough to clean, you can hop right into turbo mode for a deep & thorough cleaning through increased suction and a faster brush. Eco mode is for hard surfaces and conserves battery to cover more surface area while running quietly.
A convenient app
The D8 comes with a state-of-the-art app called MyNeato, which is a Bluetooth-compatible app that can let you schedule cleaning and create virtual no-go zones, which the D8 avoids intelligently. The info button produces voice responses.
