Lydsto W2 Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The W2 is here to vacuum and mop your home while self-emptying itself instead if involving you in that process. The dust bag can hold up to two months of dust and dirt.
How it vacuums
With multi-layer air filtration, the suction of the W2 takes place through a brushless Nidec silent motor to avoid tangling. The suction may be described as average at best. There is an edge cleaning mode for walls, ledges, and corners. However, the W2 may not get as close to edges as desired (unless you find a way to improve that through the app).
About its mopping
The high-speed pressure mop has double rotation and exerts 12 Newtons of pressure. It can rotate three times per second with enough force to remove stubborn stains. Carpets are supposedly but not necessarily avoided when mopping, but suction is boosted on carpets when vacuuming. You can always set the suction to max if you like. About mistakenly mopping carpets, you can just remove the mop when vacuuming.
When the W2 redocks, the mop is cleaned with hot water. The mop is also dried automatically at 60°C to prevent odors. The mop is rewetted before another cleaning. This cycle can be set to happen every 6, 9, or 12 minutes based on your choice.
Spatial awareness
The W2 has LDS 2.0 to fully identify rooms, barriers, carpets, and distance for a custom cleaning strategy, thanks to an editable multi-layer home map supplemented by 360° home scanning. There are anti-collision and anti-falling functionalities, but the W2 is not immune to getting stuck or bumping into things. Thresholds that are 0.8″ high can be crossed. The W2 redocks to recharge on its own.
Innovative dock
The dock has an LED display which shows messages like:

- “Air-dried completed”
Smart control
Again, there is an app at your disposal, and if you take the time to learn to use it, it can reward you with nifty features. There is a virtual wall feature. You can set no-go zones and no-mop zones. You can also schedule a cleaning beforehand as well as pick which room to clean.
Note that the W2 can talk to you in a female British voice to notify you of its activities. Other languages are available too.
