LIECTROUX C30B Robotic Vacuum Cleaner

This is a robot vacuum-mop hybrid. It uses a Nidec motor and Epson chip, both of which are imported from Japan. It also has a battery with an LG chip imported from South Korea. It can be controlled in all three typical ways, which are remote, app, or voice control. It works on low-pile carpets and hard floors, which include hardwood and ceramic tiles. There is a V-shaped floating brush that prevents tangling.

The C30B can study its environment and then build a map within the CPU to clean rooms efficiently. It has the memory capacity to know where it has cleaned and where it has not. Through its voice, it will tell you when it starts a cleaning, when it is charging, when the dustbin is full, and when there is a glitch etc. The app can show you the route of the bot in real time.

The primary filter of the C30B is combined with a HEPA filter to avoid secondary air pollution. As for the suction power, it can be adjusted to reduce noise. Furthermore, the dustbin and water tank are interchangeable. The body of the unit was designed so that dust does not infiltrate and interfere with the motherboard. Finally, there is an anti-falling measure to ensure this LIECTROUX box does not fall off heights.

The cold hard truth…

While the features of the C30B may seem impressive on paper, the reality is not the same, primarily because of:

  • Poor transitioning
  • Redocking struggles
  • Pseudo-mopping

Specifically, the C30B will likely struggle to transition between surface types, especially if it gets stuck on carpets or rugs. Furthermore, it may struggle to find its dock to recharge unless you manually carry it and put it there. Finally, the mop is more like brushing water onto your floor than actually cleaning it. One more thing: despite the alleged mapping feature, the C30B may still miss spots in your home.

Conclusion

The C30B seems to be one of those robot vacuum-mops with more advertisement than reality…

  • Poor transitions
  • Often stuck
  • Inconsistent redocking
  • Lackluster mop
  • Questionable mapping
