DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI
This DEEBOT’s AIVI technology can smartly detect and avoid obstacles on the ground to avoid prevent collision. Thanks to the OZMO Mopping System, the T8 can vacuum and mop simultaneously. This is supplemented by TrueMapping Technology that can map a home with quadruple accuracy.
This T8 also packs an HD camera to monitor your home! Furthermore, you can control it with an app. You can ask the T8 to clean on demand or according to a schedule. Additionally, you can ask it to clean an entire floor or target a specific room or even a specific part of it, such as under the living-room couch. You can also set virtual boundaries for places you want the T8 to avoid.
If any obstacles were encountered during cleaning, the cleaning map reports them and lets you remove them and send back the robot to not miss a spot.
You can use Alexa and Assistant for voice commands too.
Mopping functionality
The water tank can cover 2,000 square feet in one go. Carpet-detection sensors identify the floor type to automatically avoid carpets when mopping. When vacuuming carpets, however, the T8 doubles suction.
More facts
- The high-efficiency filter of three layers of dust filtration filters 99% of minute particle matter.
- The DEEBOT’s low profile allows it under furniture.
- This DEEBOT can cross high thresholds.
- This DEEBOT retreats to its base to charge when the battery is low and then continues.
- The three modes are auto, area, and custom.
Is the T8 worth a buy?
It is impressive how good the T8 is at detecting and avoiding obstacles, so you do not have to worry too much about it bumping into your valuable belongings. If anything, the virtual boundaries are very handy, and voice commands can save you a lot of effort.
The cherry on top is the home monitoring that adds an extra layer to what is already a vacuum-mop hybrid. Furthermore, it does all of this without running out of battery too soon.
However, there are some caveats:
- Like many other hybrids, the T8 mops with pure water instead of cleaning solution, so mopping results are not the best.
- You need time to get used to how to operate this complex robot.
- It would have been nice to have the self-emptying base come with the T8 by default.
Conclusion
This DEEBOT is an impressive robot vacuum-mop hybrid that also comes with a monitoring camera.
- Spatial awareness
- Virtual boundaries
- Voice commands
- Nifty camera
- Generous battery life
- Average mop
- Somewhat complicated
