eufy RoboVac L70 Hybrid
The L70 utilizes iPath laser navigation to make its way through your home. Using AI map technology, real-time mapping is allowed. You can see where the L70 exactly is and what it is doing.
You can set virtual boundaries through your phone, specifically the EufyHome app, to designate which areas should not be cleaned. You can also issue voice commands through Alexa or Assistant.
This is a 2-in-1 vacuum-mop hybrid that can transition between surface types as well as employ second-generation BoostIQ tech to automatically increase suction when encountering a carpet. It has a motorized brush-roll.
Our favorite mode is spot cleaning that focuses on a specific area.
The 3-in-1 washable filter (triple layer with high-performance filter) is convenient because of less maintenance required. Furthermore, automated water control allows for intelligent mopping without spilling. If the L70 pauses cleaning to charge, it returns exactly where it was later.
This is a quiet bot, but it may struggle to go under your furniture because of its height. Make sure you remove cables out if its way before deployment to prevent tangling. Also, the L70 detects heights to not fall off from.
Is it any good?
Yes, especially because of its S-shaped pattern of cleaning that is more efficient than bumping into walls and redirecting course. In fact, the L70 is quite aware of walls. Furthermore, the suction power is higher than average. The design is tangle-free when it comes to hair, but the main downside is the dustbin that takes slightly longer to remove due to having to remove the filter with it and more.
As for mopping, it is nice that it happens simultaneously with vacuuming, but there is no detergent to make the floor fully hygienic, and you have to set carpets and rugs as no-go zones. Otherwise, the L70 will unlikely tell by itself what is what.
Conclusion
The L70 is better than its prequels despite having a taller profile that is not for going under furniture.
- Good suction
- Good mop
- Spatial awareness
- Not for under furniture
- Need to block carpets
- Dustbin hassle
