The G1 robot vacuum-mop has four adjustable suction levels to clean the likes of dirt, debris, and pet hair:
- 8,000 Pascals
- 6,000 Pascals
- 2,000 Pascals
- 1,500 Pascals
The G1 can even pick up debris as big as candy or even screws. Furthermore, it is supposed to be able to vacuum and mop at the same time. In addition, particles as small as 0.3 microns can be trapped through triple-layer filtration.
Now, the suction of the G1 is quiet, but its wheels may squeak on tiles if you do not grease the wheels.
How it cleans
The G1 has scissors built into its roller brush that are supposed to cut pet hair to avoid tangling the roller brush, increasing durability.
Fresh air
If you install one of the aromatherapy strips that come with the G1, both sides of the G1 have air outlets that will release a scent during cleaning, freshening your air.
Spatial awareness
An anti-drop functionality in the G1 prevents it from falling off heights. There are eight smart gyroscope and infrared sensors, some of which also provide an anti-collision feature to avoid bumping into obstacles, supplementing smart mapping and laser navigation.
Furniture can be went under to clean there too. When transitioning from floors to carpets, thresholds that are 0.8″ high can be surpassed.
While the aforementioned profile is impressive, the G1 is not immune to getting stuck, meaning it may need your supervision from time to time.
Maintenance details
You might only have to empty the dustbin twice a month. You can expect your G1 to clean approximately 1,400 square feet before it needs to redock to recharge on its own, usually at around 20% battery life.
Control options
You can either use the Tuya app or Alexa/Assistant, the latter of which are for voice control. To Alexa, you can say something like, “Alexa, ask robot vacuum to start cleaning.”
While the app is not perfect, you can do things from scheduling a cleaning to triggering a cleaning as well as choosing a special mode such as:
- Wall follow: edge cleaning alongside a wall
- Spiral: cleaning in a spiral motion
- Manual: to drive the G1
What the app can also let you do includes monitoring the G1 in real time as well as checking the status of the accessories. If you want to set a mopping level with the app, you can do that too.
