bObi Pet
After you go through the tedious setup, you will likely realize how the bObi Pet is one of the most charming robot vacuum-mop hybrids out there. Using the bObi blOck™, you can project digital barriers to keep the bObi out of areas that are cluttered. Furthermore, you can use the remote to operate the bObi Pet, which has the longest runtime of bObsweep products to date. The icing on the cake is the TouchMe™ casing that adds a gentle touch while embellishing the illuminated touchscreen buttons:
- Go button: to activate the bObi
- Juice button: to charge the bObi
- Waffle button: to clean a specific area
This is some of what you can do with the remote:
- Adjust speed.
- Drive the robot.*
- Turn the UV light on or off.**
*Driving the bObi is hard and should only be used as a last resort.
**This feature is for bacteria.
The many downsides
This robot is quite short, so it should be able to go under most furniture, but if you have to pick it up, there is no handle, so you just have to grip it awkwardly.
Now, about the tedious setup, it essentially involves unscrewing the bObi’s bottom panel to place its wires and heavy battery inside with some connection skills.
Once you actually deploy the bObi, while most robot vacuums require the clearance of loose cables and so on, the bObi gets stuck way too often on the simplest things, such as small mats. Furthermore, it moves randomly and takes too long for the smallest rooms. When it actually works, the suction is subpar, and so is the mopping.
Conclusion
The bObi Pet vacuum-mop hybrid may appear charming at first, but it is marred by many flaws that render it almost useless.
- Charming concept
- Remote has LCD
- Tedious setup
- Poor suction
- Often gets stuck
- Awkward carriage
- Tough manual driving
