Shark IQ Robot Vacuum with Self-Empty Base, Wi-Fi & Home Mapping – AV1010AE

The AV1010AE is quite the interesting robot vacuum:

  • Advanced navigation mapping
  • Multi-surface brush roll
  • Works on carpets and hard floors
  • Multi-stage filtration
  • Good for pet hair, dander, and dust

Side brushes pull in dirt from edges and corners.

This robot vacuum can hold up to 45 days of dirt in its bag-less and self-emptying base. Furthermore, it maps rooms faster than its predecessor.

The AV1010AE tackles its cleaning missions row by row instead of randomly bouncing and repeating areas.

If the bot is about to run out of battery, it docks itself to recharge and resume.

Using the app or voice control, you can schedule a cleaning for an entire home or target specific rooms.

Is this a good robot vacuum?

If you are willing to adapt your environment to this robot vacuum, then you will likely like it. Basically, you have to make sure that are not too many obstacles that will either confuse it or make it trip.

After that, you should have an easy time setting up wifi functionality.

We recommend eco mode as the battery will last longer, giving the AV1010AE more time to map your home and familiarize itself with it. Despite eco mode having low suction when it comes to the numbers, the suction is still quite good.

Another caveat is that the AV1010AE may initially miss a spot that it then comes back to clean, so do not panic too quickly. Otherwise, it is impressive how well this robot vacuum transitions over thresholds.

The Shark IQ AV1010AE is a worthy contender in the market of self-emptying robot vacuums.

  • Good suction
  • Good eco mode
  • Transitions well
  • Easy wifi setup
