OKP K2 Robot Vacuum Cleaner

Do not be mislead by OKP Life’s lack of fame compared to the likes of iRobot and eufy because this robot vacuum packs a punch.

Equipped with 1,800 mAh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, this robot vacuum can run up to 100 minutes and cover 1,100 square feet in its low suction mode.

Here is the breakdown of the different suction modes:

  • Low: 70-100 min
  • Mid: 50-70 min
  • High: 30-50 min

The K2 will go back to the charging dock by itself whenever running out of battery or done with cleaning.

By the way, the filter is washable, which is good.

Here are the cleaning modes that you can control via the app:

  • Auto-clean
  • Spot clean
  • Wall-follow clean
  • Manual clean

Please note that, while the picture of the vacuum may indicate that the app shows mapping, this feature does not seem to be present.

A decent companion app

With the app that is compatible with iOS and Android, you can:

  • Create a cleaning schedule.
  • Change the cleaning mode.
  • Control the cleaning direction.

The app is good, but not the best. It leaves room for desire, omitting basic features such as choosing the cleaning mode and instead reserving such features for the remote. On the bright side, at least there is the remote to make up for what is missing.

The K2 is also compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa if you prefer giving voice commands like, “Alexa, ask K2 to start clean.”

Note that your wifi has to be 2.4GHz.

Smart navigation technology

Thanks to FreeMove Technology 2.0, which is reminiscent of the Lefant M201, there are 6D built-in sensors that are infrared and anti-collision, which the K2 utilizes while not following a random path like some other robot vacuums. That said, the K2 rarely gets stuck.

There are two large wheels and an auto-adjusting cleaning head, both of which were made to navigate hard floors and carpets.

The K2 works best when moving in straight lines across a hard floor. It goes under furniture well and climbs higher carpets well too. Just do not expect it to work on rubber (not that a robot vacuum should).

The icing on the cake is the anti-drop technology to ensure the K2 does not fall off heights.

Advanced suction

The unique inlet is designed in a way that does not get it clogged with pet hair like other robot vacuums with a rotating brush. Not only does it not get clogged, it actually does a good job of picking up dog hair. Furthermore, it is rather quiet despite the decent suction power.

The K2’s star feature may be the dual side-brushes, and the maximum mode increases the suction power whenever needed.

Conclusion

The K2 is one of the most shockingly good robot vacuums on the market.

  • Variety of modes
  • Washable filter
  • Useful remote
  • Smart movement
  • Does not get clogged
  • Good suction
  • Rather quiet
  • No mapping
  • App could be better
