Geek Smart Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop L7

The Geek Smart L7 is a LiDAR robot vacuum-mop combo. LiDAR navigation helps navigate in the dark as well as come up with maps for efficient cleaning routes. Furthermore, the L7 has a main brush, two side brushes, and tri-layer filtration with two washable filters.

Multiple maps

Up to five floors of your home can be mapped for the L7 to clean. This can include individual rooms, invisible walls, no-go zones, and no-mop zones. The L7 has a bumper for when it gently bumps into things. Otherwise, it has anti-collision and anti-falling sensors. We just wish it redocked more consistently.

Surface identification

According to what surface it is on, the L7 can adjust its suction accordingly. This applies to carpets, rugs, and floors like hardwood & tiles. Even the moisture of the mop can automatically get adjusted per surface type. The L7 is able to transition from a floor onto a carpet.

Suction evaluation

The suction is quite good. Even though 2,700 Pa is not the highest suction per se, you should notice a difference compared to, say, a 2,000 Pa robot vacuum. In other words, you can run a 2,000 Pa robot vacuum, then the L7 after that, and you should see that the L7 still picks up dirt & debris. Also, it can pick up long hair without tangling much. Note that max suction mode results in a shorter runtime, which is expected.

Runtime options:

  • 60 minutes on high suction
  • 100 minutes on medium suction
  • 130 minutes on low suction

Suction power options:

  • 600 Pa
  • 1,000 Pa
  • 1,300 Pa
  • 2,700 Pa

Mop evaluation

The Y-shaped mopping only works with water and does not include a cleaning solution. So, you can expect it to shine your floors at most. Furthermore, take heed that the mop may leave streaks.

Quiet operation

The L7 tries not to reach 65 decibels when operating. That way, if someone is sleeping in your home, the L7 should not wake him or her up. The L7 is actually quieter than average.

Smart control

With the basic app, you can:

  • Set a custom routine.
  • Schedule a cleaning session.
  • View a real-time map.
  • Track the route.
  • Control the suction.

On the map, you can see rooms in different colors for easier distinguishing. You can choose which room is to be mopped or not to be mopped as well as the moisture levels.

By the way, the two onboard buttons of the L7 are start/pause and redock. Also, there is an optional remote for:

  • Auto-cleaning
  • Spot cleaning
  • Edge cleaning
  • Suction power
  • Water flow
  • Finding the L7
  • Redocking
  • Manual driving

Note that manual driving is not guaranteed to work.

Conclusion

Consider getting the Geek Smart L7 only for the vacuuming because the mopping seems like an afterthought.

  • LiDAR mapping
  • Good suction
  • Rug-friendly
  • Onboard filtration
  • Front bumper
  • Quieter than average
  • Minimal mopping
  • Inconsistent redocking
