AIRROBO T10+
This LiDAR-based robot vacuum has a whopping 23 sets of sensors! LiDAR means light detection and ranging, part of which helps navigate in the dark. The T10+ worked fine in a low-light setting.
Setup and testing
Setting up the T10+, including the app, is quite easy. It took only one hour to charge the first time (and subsequent times), and prescheduling a cleaning works. The app is easy to use, including setting no-go zones. Cleaning a 600 square foot home took three hours, and the runtime before charging was one hour.
Spatial awareness
The T10+ can avoid obstacles and heights, and it learns to map your home in the best way possible. This robot vacuum features the USLAM Air 5.0™ algorithm that improves navigation. That said, the T10+ does contact furniture. That is simply how it moves, but it should not get stuck. You can pause and reactivate the bot if you like using the button on the base.
Self-emptying
As a handsfree self-emptying bot (and efficiently so), there is a 3,300 ml dust bag that can hold up to 45 days of dirt and debris, which is quite a long time. Self-emptying is not loud, which is a unique occurrence. As for the suction, it automatically boosts when there is a carpet. That said, the vacuuming of the T10+ is excellent, such as on tiles, picking up dirt and small pieces of food.
Mopping aspect
You can choose which room is to be cleaned with which suction and which mopping water flow. Yes, this is a robot vacuum-mop hybrid, making it an all-in-one floor cleaning solution! However, the T10+ is not necessarily there to replace a fully specialized mop, and there has been at least one report of the T10+ attempting to mop a carpet, but that was not necessarily our experience. Still, it is a good mop that you should use to clean your place. It cleaned both wood and tiles very well. It was able to remove most food stains from tiles.
Battery life
When the battery is low, the T10+ docks itself to recharge and then resumes where it left off. Redocking may be wonky but still works eventually. To minimize the frequency of recharging, you can prolong the duration of operation by running the bot in quiet mode. The T10+ is near silent.
Conclusion
This is an interesting AIRROBO innovation that can empty itself after 45 days, and it mops too!
